(21/05/07) After much hard work from all three staff members, I have decided to open Weather Beaten to the public. Please take your time to have a look through all of the information compiled in the Instruction Manual, and don't be afraid to ask if you have a query. We will be holding auditions for the Pleuval Leader, and a limited number of Predators will also be available as playable characters soon.
Just as a quick note, Weather Beaten does have a website, but I have changed the path forwarding to the forums until the website is looking nice. Enjoy! [horcrux@17.24]

In Character - Wilderness
Dominia Bay Shaped similarly to a keyhole, Dominia Bay is a vast stretch of white sand, scattered with the occasional chunks of driftwood and shells that the sea has abandoned. The water here is warm and shallow; a welcoming supply of clear, salty water. Small hordes of tropical fish can be seen darting about below the surface, and during certain months, turtles can be seen making their way steadily to shore. As beautiful as the Bay may seem, one would be wise to avoid the area when the tide changes, for the water is known to block all available exits from the bay to the mainland. [Meeting Place]
Viper Hollow A large, crater-like dip in the ground, it is rather suprising that this hollow has not become filled with rainwater. Named due to the unusual amount of serpents that stalk the thick undergrowth of nettles and vines, Viper Hollow is distinctly eerie, and almost permanently shrouded in a translucent white smog. Various different types of soil can be found in the Hollow, ranging from chalk to clay, and for this reason it offers the most varied terrain in the area. [Claiming Lands]

Azalea Hill Rising high above the rest of the forest, the Hill provides an excellent watch-tower, giving inhabitants the height needed to look down over the rainforest, but also providing shelter and camouflage in the form of a huddle of tall, thin palm trees. During the warmer seasons, the entire hill is coated in a layer of violently bright azalea blossoms, giving the Hill its name, and also making the area popular with younger animals looking to enjoy summer's delights. Pink is the prominent colour here, making the Hill stand out against its backdrop of green, and also becoming far welcoming in winter, when the rest of the area is brown and dying. [Breeding Lands]

Felix Ridge The Felix Ridge is in the most mountainous part of the region, curving softly into a perfectly round half-crescent shape before falling gently back to ground level. A handful of trees are scattered across the Ridge, providing an attractive distraction from the endless boulders and rock formations that seem to occupy the majority of this terrain. Small, tulip-shaped blue flowers can be seen here in the summer months, sprouting from between the rocks, and generally giving the place a much nicer atmosphere. [Foaling Lands]

Veridian Stream As a large portion of the river, and the stretch of turf that runs beside it, the Veridian Stream takes up a fair section of the land, although of course most of it is off-limits to all but the bravest, strongest of animals who are not afraid to test their might against the current. While bright and cheerful during the day, at night the Stream gains a far more sinister quality, lit by barely any light from the moon, and rumoured to be haunted by the ghosts of three Pleuvals who lost their way in the thick of winter. The grass here is short and well-kept, as though it has been trimmed regularly, but this is impossible on a planet without humans, adding to the mystery of the place. [Battle Grounds]

In Character - Herdlands
Territories You have found your way to the region's herdlands. Claimed or unclaimed, all territories can be found here, as well as their resident herds.
Anto Creek Shielded from all sunlight by the thick branches of the numerous trees that dominate the area, Anto Creek is almost permanently bathed in an eerie darkness, failing to lighten even on the brightest of summer days. Thick vines and small shrubs lace the floor, the masses of foliage coming to an end only as the ground meets water. The Creek itself twists rapidly on its journey, contorting like a snake, and displaying waters very close to the colour of a serpent's skin. The scent of damp is strong here, washing over any other smells, and weakening the senses of those who pass through. [Inter-Species Meetings]
